Probably Asking

No. This is nervous system training: body-based tools you use in real life, not clinical treatment. We're not diagnosing anything, processing trauma clinically, or providing mental health support. If you're working with a therapist, this work tends to complement it well. If you're in acute mental health crisis, please get clinical support first.

What's the difference in practice? Therapy typically works top-down: cognition, narrative, understanding. This works bottom-up: body state first, everything else follows. Different mechanism, different entry point.

What kind? Most breathwork people encounter is either box breathing on an app or a one-off group session. Both have limited ceiling.

What we do is structured progressive work over six weeks, each session builds on the last, the techniques escalate in depth, and the group container creates a safety that makes depth possible. Week four's breathwork is not the same as week one's. It's designed to be sequenced.

That framing usually means the current load is the problem, which is exactly what this addresses. The sessions are 90 minutes once a week. The daily practice is 10–15 minutes. That's the entire time cost.

What tends to happen after week one: the time you've been spending in decision loops, the energy you've been burning managing your own reactivity, that starts coming back. Most people find the net time impact is positive by week two.

The only thing required to be in this room is a nervous system, which you already have.

Nothing here asks you to believe anything. The mechanism is physiological: breath affects CO₂/O₂ ratios, which activates the parasympathetic system, which changes the body's baseline state. That's not a belief system. That's how the autonomic nervous system works.

Sceptics tend to get the most out of this. They show up actually paying attention rather than waiting for something to confirm what they already believe.

That said: live is different. Something happens in real-time group breathwork that doesn't replicate on replay, the shared regulation effect is real and it compounds over the six weeks. Show up live when you can.

A YouTube video gives you a technique. It can't read the room, adjust the pacing, respond to what's happening in the group, or guide someone through a release safely when something moves.

Facilitation is not the same as instruction. The quality of the container, who's holding it and how, determines what depth becomes possible. Six weeks of sequenced live work with someone who does this professionally is a different thing entirely.

It depends on the nature of the history and where you currently are with it.

Breathwork can surface stored material, that's part of how it works. In this container, that's held carefully. We build capacity before we go deep, and depth is never forced.

If you have significant unprocessed trauma or a complex trauma history, reach out before enrolling. I'd rather have an honest conversation about fit than have you go through something you're not ready for.

Ninety minutes. We open with grounding, orienting the group, settling the body. The first 30–40 minutes is teaching and practice: the breathwork technique for that week, context on the nervous system mechanics, integration of what happened the week before. The final 40–50 minutes is guided breathwork, structured, held, with space afterward for what comes up.

Each session ends with a reflection prompt. Simple, specific, designed to bridge the session to the week ahead.
